Currently in private beta, Visual.ly is a new tool that allows you to create and share infographics.

Here’s a great infographic which reveals some interesting stats on Twitter and Facebook users. Whilst at times, comparing the two platforms is a bit like comparing hamburgers and burritos, there are still some nuggets here that raise an eyebrow:
Only 12% of ‘bookers update their status daily compared with 52% of Twitterers.
40% of people on Facebook follow a brand, compared to 25% of folk on Twitter.
Awareness of both platforms is more or less equal – 88% Facebook, 87% Twitter

Last week, Facebook launched it’s latest move into location based social networking with its Deals add-on to Facebook Places.

According to the official blog, local businesses will be able to offer consumers deals whenever they check in to their place on Facebook. Deals will be rolling out over the next few days and will only be available in the United States at this time (shock, horror!)
