Google Square is Live
Thanks to BlogScoped for the spot…
Google Squaredgoes live today under Google labs. It’s a really nifty data management platform which collates info into tables for you to be able to compare diffrenet items. Sounds dry? Well no… you can have some fun with it. Already, there are comic book superheroes, dog breeds, Hawaiin Islands, Sci-Fi series and many more. Think of it if you will as an online Top Trumps…
Here’s how you use it: just enter the name of a group of things and Google Squared then calculates for a bit, and presents you with a table of attributes. In the case of British Poets, the automatically found columns were name, image, date of birth, place of birth and date of death. You get the option to add columns should you wish or even create your own Square from scratch.
Time will tell how the Google masses will use this service. I’ll keep my eyes and ears open…
Be there… or be….
Square.
