Thanks to Ged for the heads up on this. A useful deck for anyone still flirting with the concept of using Twitter in a PR context.
Still trying to figure out how to explain what Twitter actually is? It’s a modern classic now – but worth a watch:

I’d love to have a good example of PR disaster on Twitter. Got any?

Hashtagging is awesome for events as you can project live hashtagged tweets onto a giant screen using Twitter search – spooky and fascinating at the same time!

One issue if not real Twitter disaster was recently someone brand-jacked Exxon on Twitter. I don’t think they did any significant damage but they owned Exxon’s voice and reputation on Twitter (and continue to do so). It’s definitely advisable to register your clients’ brands and variations of on Twitter before someone else does!

@Simon – good point with regards to registering clients brands on Twitter. Do you know (i’ve not seen anything) what Twitter’s policy is on brand-jacking? Do they even have one? From what I can tell they don’t – suppose it’s a case of wait for the lawyers to get in touch and then take action?
